Plastic honeycombs solve the problems of paper honeycombs being easily wet and susceptible to moisture. They also solve the problems of aluminium honeycombs being high in price, poor in sound insulation, and prone to corrosion.
Classification of plastic honeycomb panels：
Plastic honeycomb panels can be divided into PP honeycomb panels, PC honeycomb panels, PVC honeycomb panels and other materials.
PVC honeycomb panels are cheap and low in cost, but they are brittle and easily damaged. They are mostly used in ceilings, wall panels, bathroom gussets, etc. for decoration.
PP honeycomb panels are tougher than PVC honeycomb panels and can withstand higher bearing pressures. They are mostly used in building structural panels, hull panels, and lightweight car body panels.
PC honeycomb panels have strong impact resistance and are not prone to problems during use. They are mostly used for partition panels, light-transmitting panels, decorative panels, etc.
Types of Honeycomb Composite Panels：
Honeycomb panels are composed of two surface panels and a honeycomb middle layer filled in between to ensure that the two surface panels are laid together and work together. The surface panels can be made of different materials: when both surface panels are aluminium or steel, they are called aluminium honeycomb panels or steel honeycomb panels. When one of the surface panels is stone, titanium alloy, enamel, wood, fibreglass, or plastic, they are called stone honeycomb panels, titanium alloy honeycomb panels, enamel honeycomb panels, wood honeycomb panels, fibreglass honeycomb panels, and plastic honeycomb panels. When the middle honeycomb layer is made of aluminium foil, paper foil, and plastic, they are called aluminium honeycomb, paper honeycomb, and plastic honeycomb, respectively.
